Professional and finely-dressed, you can always count on this Jazz Band to play at the highest caliber. Led by music director and double bassist Adam Gay, Excelsior Jazz Band can be seen performing live Jazz music in New York City and surrounding areas. The band is available for weddings, special events, private parties, corporate events, and concerts.
Band Director, Adam Gay, has lived and performed in the country's most bustling jazz scenes. From San Francisco to the New York City scene, Adam has played with some of the world's best musicians and venues in his 25 year career. Some well-known clubs he's played in include Mezzrow, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Cellar Dog, and Ornithology Jazz Club.
He’s also played with many talented Jazz musicians such as Noel Jewkes, Vince Lateano, Smith Dobson V, Donald “Duck” Bailey, Bob Kenmotsu, Denise Perrier; James Austin Jr., Kenny Washington, Chris Byars, Grant Stewart JinJoo Yoo, Jeb Patton, Zaid Nasser, Fukushi Tainaka, Stefano Doglioni, Ki Hong Jang, and Taro Okamoto.
